Day to day

Soi Thonglor (Sukhumvit 55) runs for more than three kilometres, and homes deep in it can be a 20-minute walk from the BTS, so most buildings run a shuttle. We give the real walk and always say whether there is one.

Phrom Phong has malls and Benchasiri Park beside the station, and Ekkamai has the Eastern Bus Terminal for easy weekends in Pattaya or Rayong.

Worth knowing first

  • Soi Thonglor gridlocks on Friday evenings. If you drive out, allow at least 30 minutes.
  • Many restaurants and bars stay open late, and rooms facing the main road hear them.
  • Price per m² is higher than elsewhere, but homes are larger, which pays off when several people share.
