Day to day

Mornings start with a run around Lumphini Park before the office. At lunch there are curry shops and street carts on Convent Road and Soi Sala Daeng, and Silom Road stays busy with restaurants into the night.

Sathorn is calmer than Silom: most towers sit back from the main road, and side streets like Soi Suan Phlu still have low-rise blocks and trees. If you have a pet, these sois have more options.

Worth knowing first

  • Sathorn Road jams from 17:00 to 19:30. If you work on Sukhumvit, the train beats driving almost every day.
  • West-facing rooms get hot in the afternoon. Each listing shows which way the home faces.
  • Buildings on Silom Road hear the restaurants at night. Higher floors, or units facing the soi, are quieter.
